All of them being very famou models from Nikon. This new model is made keeping in view photography enthusiasts in mind and has all the features of a basic entry level dslr. UPGRADES
Here are some of the major upgrades which the new model offers
  1. Megapixel - The first thing you notice is the megapixel count, the D3200 has the highest megapixel count than any other entry level in its class. The megapixel has gone up from 14 to 24 a total of 10million pixels increased, that's a very welcome upgrade.
  2. Video - The D3200 offers full HD video recoeding at 30 fps i.e. at 1080p and 60 fps for 720p, now this is a great feature for high quality movies with great detail.
  3. Processor -  While the D3100 featured a new Expeed-2 processor the D3200 is upgraded with the even better and advanced Expeed-3 processor found in Nikon's higher end models like the D800 and D4. The new processor is very much necessary for processing huge amounts of data produced by the 24 megapixel sensor and for rendering 60 fps videos.
  4. Shooting speed -  the shooting speed has also gone up from 3fps in 3100 to 4fps in 3200, good for shooting image sequences
  5. ISO range - the D3200 has a wider ISO range compared to D3100, the range has gone up from 3200 to 6400 in the new model.
  6. Display screen -  the improvement in the display screen is a very good one, the screen quality has been improved from 230k dot screen to 921k dots. Now the screen is better for live view shooting.
also the new model is compatible with Nikon's newly launched WU-1 mobile adaptor with which you can easily transfer photos to you android smartphone by downloading a free app in your phone to support this feature. you can also use your smartphone as a viewfinder and capture images wireless upto 49 feet, which is the range of this module.
I'll update this post with the sensor results and performance stats once they have been released, come back for sample images from D3200.
